Space melts like sand running through one’s fingers. Time bears it away and leaves only shapeless shreds.
–Georges Perec, Species of Spaces and Other Pieces

My ceramic practice draws largely from the qualities afforded by clay as a medium of expression; its maleability, the way it remembers gestures and actions, and its penchant to forgive mistakes. Clay Bodies refer to the different types of clay available to ceramicists; I use porcelain, stoneware and terracotta in  my work. Every clay body is unique and has its own personality. Clay Bodies represents many hours of play and experimentation – each object examines notions of perfection, error and rebuilding.
